Morrie Warshawski, Consultant

I specialize in working with nonprofits, especially arts and culture organizations of every type, on strategic planning (including: designing a powerful and effecting planning process; facilitation of retreats with board, staff, and volunteers; collecting data; conducting focus groups, town hall meetings, and roundtables; writing summary reports and final plans). My practice is informed by the core values of thoughtfulness, tolerance, transparency and creativity. I have worked in the field for over thirty years, and have been the Executive Director of three arts organizations. In addition to consulting, my writing includes one book on strategic planning (A STATE ARTS AGENCY STRATEGIC PLANNING TOOLKIT, National Assembly of State Arts Agencies), and two books on fundraising (SHAKING THE MONEY TREE: THE ART OF GETTING GRANTS AND DONATIONS FOR FILM AND VIDEO, and THE FUNDRAISING HOUSEPARTY: HOW TO PARTY WITH A PURPOSE AND RAISE MONEY FOR YOUR CAUSE).
